The University Counseling Center is excited to announce the arrival of our two new Safe Office Counselor/ Advocates, Stephanie Duisterhof, M.Ed, Ed.S, LPCA and Bethany Miller, MSW, LCSWA.   

Stephanie Duisterhof brings five years of clinical experience from various levels of care, including most recently serving as a victim advocate with the Marine Corps in Okinawa, Japan. Stephanie’s first day will be Monday, January 13th. 

Bethany Miller is a WFU alumnus (’15) who has been working as a Safe Office On-Call Responder alongside her work in inpatient mental health and volunteer work with Family Services of Forsyth County. Bethany’s first day will be Monday January 27.

Both Stephanie and Bethany bring warmth and passion to the trauma-informed work of meeting the clinical needs of students as well as valuable insights to contribute to culture change through prevention efforts.
