What is the Safe Office?
Founded in 2013, the Safe Office is a division of the University Counseling Center that provides 24/7 confidential crisis response and ongoing support services to undergraduate and graduate Reynolda Campus students for concerns related to interpersonal violence (which may include concerns related to dating or relationship violence, sexual misconduct, sexual harassment, sexual assault, and stalking).
The Safe Office provides confidential consultations for concerned students, parents, faculty, and staff. The Safe Office also provides accompaniment for students to Deacon Health, Title IX, University Police, other collaborating campus partners, and emergency medical care that may be needed after experiencing a sexual assault.
The Safe Office partners with collaborating departments to promote prevention and response education and outreach for the broader Wake Forest community. The Safe Office promotes Relationship Violence Awareness Month in October, Stalking Awareness Month in January, and Sexual Assault Awareness Month in April.
